The Koel that I hear each morning in Griffith, I can sometimes see in the tree from my backyard, in a large Oak? tree in a back yard near Lindsay St/Favenc Circle corner.
New Years' morning he did honour us with his presence in a tall spindly gum that overhangs our back courtyard area - and noisly at that I might add.
This one has been calling in this area all season.

Almost certainly Elizabeth.  However there is more than one about.  At
Norgrove one morning I could hear one on the other side of Wentworth
responding to another over at the Causeway.  There is probably a territorial
patchwork maintained aurally, even if we can't hear the very distant ones.

I wonder whether the koel that Geoffrey is hearing every morning is
the same one that we hear every morning in Wells Gardens?  A bit too
far away perhaps  It has been around for some time, but I have not
found it
