Broulee beetle

Other than being outside COG's AOI and not a bird query, this question is relevant (sort of).
Any of you insect COGnescenti know what this little beetle may be?  Often yellow and black colouration is a signal for poisonous critter, but I can not imagine this guy being dangerous.
As the thumb shows, it is about 15mm long.
