Checking out the area again this morning I found an adult pair of Dollarbirds anxiously watching over two juveniles.  While watching them I heard other adults and juvenile/s not very far away.  So it appears there are at least two "families" in the vicinity.  Also a pair of King Parrots, Black-face Cuckoo Shrikes and Kookaburras and numerous Gang-gangs, all with young.  So the Deakin/Hughes creche seems to be currently thriving.

A dull day and a dull coloured dollarbird. This was the 'juv' Dollarbird Marion reported on Monday up behihd Deakin on Red Hill.
Would this be a juvenile from breeding this year or do they maintain their juv colourings for a season or two?
