I regularly see Night Herons flying upstream along Ginninderra Creek in the evening - just up from the lake. Last Saturday evening there was a flock of six. Other evenings it been 1 to 4 birds. I couldn't tell juvenile/adult. Since June last year I have often seen an adult Night Heron fishing under street lights near the Baldwin Drive bridge. The last time I got a good look at it I could see it had breeding plumes.

Where is the "usual place" they roost on the western shore of Lake Ginninderra? I have yet to find any roosting in the day time.
