Male chestnut teal on Giralang Ponds this am.  Wasn't able to identify a female.  I thought it was the duck beside it on the tyre, but on close look, the other duck was a female wood duck and rather bigger than him!
 
Also 2 white faced heron, 5 white ibis, 1 great egret(it was a HUGE bird), 2 pied cormorant, pacific and wood ducks, cootes and moorhens.... the usual crowd!
 
My first chestnut, though.
