In Harrison (Gungahlin) Superb Parrots are still a daily occurrence. I have recorded them almost daily since late September as they commute between Gooroo and areas beyond Mitchell, probably Belconnen.
Sometimes several will rest in a large euc out the front of the house.

Superb parrots in NW Belconnen seem to be spreading
out for foraging as Vivien's email suggests. Some were feeding on Acacia pods at
Jarramlee Pond (West Dunlop) this morning, two flew over mid Flynn at noon and
Loquats are being enjoyed from time to time in a (Bazely St) Fraser garden over
several days this week. They are still seen & heard around the Wickens Place
(Fraser) carpark of Mt Rogers in the early mornings.
There were at least five Superbs active on The
Pinnacle on Saturday morning 06.30 between The PInnacle itself and the "new"
noticeboard 500m in from the Springvale Road-De Salis Street carpark area for
the reserve. Later Superbs were heading for the planted Acacias in the SE part
of the reserve, presumably attracted to the pods there also.
As Christmas approaches will there be the normal Mt
Rogers Christmas-influx from breeding areas or have those families re-located
and arrived already to give us these sightings?
