Steve Holliday has asked me to post this as his home computer is unwell. Steve found 2 Horsfields Bushlarks this morning on Urriara Rd about 4km past the Crossing. There is a large (100m square) burnt area and the birds were just after that. One at least was carrying nesting material so it is likely (a) they are breeding and thus (b) they are likely to hang around. He also saw a Swamp Harrier pass by, and closer to the Crossing 5 White-fronted Chats. Martin |
