Many birds eat cicadas, from House Sparrows (although they find it quite a difficult meal) to Currawongs, Dollarbirds, Kestrels and Hobbies.

Another thing I noted at Callum Brae this morning was that, once the air warmed up, the wooded areas were alive with cicadas.  Does anyone know if any species of bird has a penchant for eating cicadas?   One specimen I saw was really big and fat.
