We were very pleased to go to Tuross on Thursday, even though many of the waders had departed. We did not see the broad billed sand piper.

However a real highlight of our visit to the coast was finding a pair of black faced monarchs putting the finishing touches to their nest. The nest is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, a sphere decorated with mosses. I wish that we could keep an eye on the nest. If anyone is going to the coast and would like instructions as to where it is, we could tell them. It is on Ringlands path, beside Wagonga Inlet. But you would need more precise instructions
