Dear all
IMAO the Lord said something about every sparrow...
While the 2ha Birds Australia search over 20 minutes documenting
all species observed is preferable, incidental reports, particularly of
uncommon species, or species in uncommon habitats is worth recording in the
database.
Our standard record set started from the COG Atlas with the
first record being 4 September 1986. Subsequently older records
going back to July 1974 have been added.
I noted in this forum earlier today that the first Common Myna
was seen in 1968, yet the earliest record in our dataset is not until after the
start of the Atlas, with only ones and twos generally being reported until
1993, when numbers lifted.
The point of all this is, with all the environmental changes that
have gone on, and are continuing, we need all the information we can get on
every species. So please report as many observations as you can.
Cheers
Paul

Subject: [canberrabirds] red-capped robin
Hi all,
I'm not sure this is worth reporting, but there was a female red-capped robin
near the CSIRO gate just outside the Botanic Gardens this morning.
Cheers,
Tonya
