A friend whose property includes part of the Molonglo in Carwoola has reported at least one Grey Goshawk at his place at about 6am this mornign.  He was initially alerted to its presence by the call, which was strange to him.   It appeared to be answered by another bird some distance away: thus the (?s).  If they are around it may be worthwhile keeping an eye out in spots where the species has been seen before (such as Jerrabombera Wetlands and the Molonglo around Coppins Crossing.

...and if any one does see one within the ACT, in circumstances that suggest it may be hanging around for a while, please let m know!!
