The Field Naturalists held a morning walk into Mulligans reserve on Saturday 7th. Quite apart from the possibility of seeing Superb parrots and an interesting range of species the grassland flowers are excelling themselves. We saw dozens of species of wildflowers in the first 500m and hadn't even entered through the fence.
The spectacle offers a fine opportunity to see what has been appropriated and altered since our region was 'settled' . The display probably results from the rainfall patterns of this spring rather than the government's positive plans for the reserve.

We entered from the traditional "Pine trees" parking area which is now off Amy Ackman Street, Forde.
