Hello all,

There were 7 Native Hens today at Kelly's Swamp and a lone Glossy Ibis. Plenty of young moorhens, a single Royal Spoonbill in full nuptial plumage and a juvenile pelican. Oh and there was a meter long brown snake as well.

In the ponds there was the usual mix of ducks, grebes and coots. I also saw the Blue-billed Ducks displaying, a Little Eagle dive-bomb a rabbit succesfully and a very tame Black-shouldered Kite.

If only for the hay fever this would have been a great day out...
