Red-backed Kingfisher at FSW (Sunday) [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Sorry about the delayed notification...

 

On Sunday morning (11:00 h) I saw a single Red-backed Kingfisher on the power lines at the car park of the Fyshwick Sewage Works. It was on the wires when we arrived in the car and left about 5 minutes later flying strongly to WSW - didn't see it land anywhere before it was lost amongst trees in the vicinity of the DAS complex or whatever it is over there near the billabong.

 

As far as I know, the Red-backed Kingfishers from Ginninderra Creek in Dunlop/Macgregor grasslands have not showed up there again this year (yet).
