Hi All,

Has anyone ever seen a different feather pattern on a fledged juvenile New
Holland Honeyeater? I saw a bird today at Kelly's Swamp which had a simpler
pattern of colour than a normal adult. The call was identical, so I'm
wondering if it was a juvenile. The Simpson & Day field guide doesn't show any
variation in the plumage.

Unfortunately I couldn't quite focus on the bird before it decided that
discretion was the better part of valour.
