this morning, the unmistakeable call of a koel in Wanniassa starting at 5.22am
a couple of days ago at Kambah Pool, standing at bottom of the steps down to the river from the carpark, I could see a dollarbird coming and going from a tree hollow across the river, and actively defending the area from a currawong which appeared to be loitering with intent.
