I am delighted that Geoffrey has mentioned 'that Scotsman', Bob Rusk,  
who was so helpful to us in our early birding days, and until he,  
unfortunately, left Canberra.  When we saw his van parked at  
Jerrabomberra, we would be pleased, wondering what interesting piece  
of bird information he would give us this time.  He showed us our  
first Latham's snipe

Last year, about this time, he very kindly took us to good birding  
spots around Ulladulla
