Great news. About the ANBG Powerful Owl, last
time Geoffrey Dabb took some great photos of that bird and its damaged nostrils
(cere). It would be curious or even fascinating if it were possible to see
if this bird has any sign of similar damage (although it may have healed over or
other birds have similar injury
etc...............)

-----Original Message----- Is anyone aware of a local
(or distant) project involving color-banded Silvereyes? I searched the
archives but found nothing... From: Adam James Searcy [ Sent: Monday, 19 October 2009 3:04 PM To: canberra birds Subject: [canberrabirds] Color-banded Silvereye (and ANBG Powerful Owl) Thanks. Oh, and the Powerful Owl continued this morning along the main path in the Rain Forest Gully (sans young, so far). Whitewash/pellets mark the area. Cheers, Adam Searcy Macquarie |
