I would encourage members with an interest in the Mulligans
Flat and greater area to attend this. There has been quite a bit
of focus in recent times on these northern woodlands and their links
with NSW, including a consortium of research, government and
community groups putting in a Caring for our Country grant application for the
Greater Goorooyarroo Project to improve ecological connectivity with NSW to
the north. Unfortunatley the ACT missed out on that grant,
but there is still a vision to build on the research work currently being
undertaken. Also, what is not specifically mentioned below, is that
the National Parks Association ACT will speak about their proposal for a
northern national park.
