On Sunday around midday, I briefly watched a Greenshank
as it foraged at the southern end of Kellys Swamp. I'd already been at the swamp
for an hour before I saw the bird, and after a couple of nervous flights from
one part of the swamp to another it took off, to the south, gaining altitude and
disappearing. As far as I know it was only there for those approximately 5
minutes. (A couple of photos attached).
Frank Antram spent 4 hours looking for it that
afternoon with no luck.
