Alberta Hayes, Anthony Overs and myself went to the Namadgi Visitor Centre on Saturday morning and found a good selection of woodland birds, including a whopping 11 new species for Alberta! The highlights were a female red-capped robin just over the road from the Centre, and varied sitellas nest-building. We also found four species of cuckoo - pallid, shining-bronze, fan-tailed and Horsfield's.

Other notable birds included both gerygones, jacky winters, olive-backed oriole, white-winged triller, rufous whistler, speckled warbler, dusky woodswallow.

Cheers
Suzi
