Yesterday, at Stromlo Forest Park, and while waiting for the COG field
trip I flushed two large quail and had good views of a third on the
ground - a female Stubble Quail. The location was between the grandstand
and the largish dam down towards the creek adjacent to Deek's Track. The
two fliers dropped into the higher rough grass to the North-west of the
dam. I did manage to miss the nine White-fronted Chats completely.
