The woodswallows were still around an hour later.  While they were swallowing their prey on perches in dead Acacia dealbata or live Eucalyptus mannifera it seemed they were catching most of it on the ground.  The prey being eaten was mainly mature insects and  I assume, because I couldn't see exactly what was going on, that insects were hatching from pupal burrows and being grabbed before they could fly.

At least 20 White-browed Woodswallows at Whiskers Creek Rd Carwoola at 15:10 this afternoon.  They seemed to be inclined to move slowly from tree to tree with much hawking, rather than a determined migration.  No Masked seen amongst them.
