A nice addition to a new site list!

According to the GBS, up to year 28 there were very few reports of Superb Parrots from South of the Lake except several reports from Hughes in Year 13, and single reports in years 18, 21 and 22 from Curtin.  All of these were of 1 or 2 birds.  In year 28 there were single reports, each of 1 bird, from Kambah, Weston and Hughes.

Of the total 273 observations of Superb Parrot in the GBS since year 1, 151 (55%) were from Belconnen and 75 (27.5) from sites at Gundaroo and Murrumbateman.

I had a single Superb Parrot fly over home (Gleneagles, Kambah) at 8:24 this morning. I think it was a male but it was silhouetted against the bright morning sky and fairly high up. Was quite vocal as it flew rapidly from south (Urambi Hills) to north - trajectory between Mt Neighbour and the Murrumbidgee I'd say.

It's the first time I've seen a Superb Parrot south of the Lake (Burley Griffin) except for a mid-winter male several years ago that I assumed to be an escapee.

Counted at least 50 today at the same spot on Mt Rogers.  From my experience of Mt Rogers, it is unusual to have such a large number this early in the season with the larger groups usually appearing around December.  Has anyone else seen this this many at this time of year on Mt Rogers?
