Spotted Quail-thrush

Since there were only 18 records of the Spotted Quail-thrush in 2007-08 I thought it worth mentioning that we saw two today on the track from the Nursery Swamp car park (Orroral Road, Namadgi NP) to the saddle.

The forest from there to the approach to Rendezvous Creek was alive with birds, predominantly honeyeaters large and small. No trees in flower, though the red grevilleas (are they Grevillea victoriae?) are flowering beautifully.

Cheers - David
