Hawk ID assistance please

Working in the garden (Toms Crescent, Ainslie) this afternoon in the glorious spring sunshine, when a hawk whizzed over our heads about 20ft up and headed into trees in a neighbouring block.
Found it perched about 10m up enjoying the strong wind - I think it was an immature Brown Goshawk (size, plumage), but am not certain.
Grateful for any advice about ID.
