Brian,

Your bird looks like an Australian Reed-warbler.

The attached photo was taken at Jerrabomberra Wetlands on Sunday.  My first thought was that it was a Little Grassbird but it doesn't have the dark marking on the breast / stomach.  Then I was thinking Tawny Grassbird and upon looking at the Canberra Bird Notes there is no record of them here.  My thoughts then returned to an immature Little Grassbird.  I then  thought that I need help. :-)
