Two superb parrots were reported-in from a golfer at the Belconnen Golf club, yesterday (1st). They were feeding on the ground, during the day near the 17th hole. I take it this is near a dam. Red rumped parrots were also there & remained on the ground at the golfer's approach. The SPs flew into trees.

One flew away from the Wickens place carpark area this morning after briefly perching in trees. It called as it flew into the trees & after it left, flying west towards Charnwood. Too distant & fast to see if it was a male.

They do feed on Charnwood's ovals/sports ground  when here in December/January.
