Sorry, two mistakes in my last email. Uluru, not ukuru, and crested
pigeons, not crested finches. If the predator of the young swamp
harriers had been pigs, I think that they would have made more of a
mess going in. There were two tracks from the dam wall, about 3
metres apart, leading directly to where the chicks had been.
