This morning around 9.20 I noticed some strange dark wispy
clouds in the southern sky. As if some JWW Turner had dipped a water colour
brush in quite dark grey and sketched in some wispy, but with quite hard edges,
clouds among the lighter woollier usual clouds we see around here. Almost as
if black smoke had been squirted up around 2000 metres.
In all the years of observing cloud formations, I have not
seen anything quite like it.
Did anyone else notice them, and is there an explanation?
Cheers
Paul
