I sent this yesterday, but then I got a strange messages saying I had
been dumped from the Canberra Birds list and I had to resubscribe. So
I'm sending it again in case people didn't get it.




Went for a walk up Molongo Gorge this afternoon, not with the hopes of
seeing many birds, but for the scenery. A Wedge-tailed Eagle and
flocks of Striated Thornbills were the highlights.

However I was thinking, all that Teatree scrub in the gorge bottom
looks ideal for Chestnut-rumped Heathwren, yet I have never heard of a
record there. I wonder why not?
