only a percentage of Canberrans visit this, the marshy, end of the swamp, but
it is the spot to see the visiting waders when they are about. I must
also concede that some observers might note a certain lack of seasonal
consistency in this study, but as I always say you can only photograph what’s
there, and if it’s not what people expect that’s just the way it is. We
never would have got penicillin if Alexander Fleming had only noticed what he
expected to see.
