If anyone is heading to Grenfell or Weddin mountain I suggest that they stop off at Dick's bridge which is on the corner of Old Forbes Road and Grenfell--Bimbi Road. We stopped there a couple of times last week. The weather was not conducive to bird watching. It blew a gale all week. We saw

Striped honey eater
Brown tree creeper
Yellow robins
Flame robins, m and f
Red capped robin, m and f
Jacky winter
Grey flycatchers
Restless fly catcher
Peaceful dove
White plumed honey eaters
Grey shrike thrush

When we stopped there in early October 2007 we saw many wood swallows. On their way back to Canberra? have they all left now?

Elizabeth
