It would appear from the response to yesterday's posting that Dusky Woodswallows are still about.  They have certainly gone from my patch so I wonder if the remainder are intending to stay.
 
Concerning the Chats at Stromlo Forest Park the largest number now appears to be between 25-30 recorded on 17 April and then confirmed the next day.  If, as it appears from the spring surveys, there were 4 pairs present and these pairs produced 5 young each on average then it is possible that the group are all on-site birds.  I note there were 30 birds reported on 14 May 2008.
