Subject: | Blue green algae impact on birds? |

Blue green algae levels have been high in most of Lake Burley Griffin
(and L. Gininderra? and Googong Reservoir?) since 6 February this year
(see weekly postings at
http://www.nationalcapital.gov.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=76&Itemid=317).
Is there any information on how it effects birds (if at all?). Is the
duration of the bloom this year exceptionally long?
