The autumn migration of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters has started in the Tinderry area of NSW. Small groups of c.10 / per 5 mins were winging their way SE across the Queanbeyan River around the latitude of Lighthouse Creek. This was late morning on 29 March. They were about tree-top height; some backtracked, and took dips in the river, before moving on. Also saw 3 Brown Treecreepers together on one branch - it looked like a family group.
