It looks like the same bird I watched on Sunday afternoon around 3.30-4pm from Weston Park. It first flew overhead then circled lower over Yarramundi Reach.

In the period that I watched it had two attempts at catching fish on both occasions it was successful. After the first catch it alighted on some dead trees along the shoreline and proceeded to consume its prey. After the second catch it flew off towards the large pines in the direction of Westbourne Woods.

It was definitely a sub-adult bird with still some white patches on the underwings.

Cheers

Evening all,

Watched a White-bellied Sea-eagle this afternoon fishing for his dinner across the water fom near the Claire Holland Hospice at Grevillia Park. Check out the female Darter swimming near-by!

Also in the same area were two Cattle Egrets doing their bit amongst the cattle grazing.
