Little Eagles do make an occasional appearance over the Cook/Aranda Bushland.
I last saw one from my place in Cook on Australia Day this year.

I forgot to mention in my previous email that as I was returning from the Brindabellas yesterday I was alerted to the prescence of a raptor by the calls of ravens and magpies at the intersection of William Hovell and Coulter Drives.  I stopped and to my surprise, there was a Little Eagle.  I had great views for several minutes.  I have never seen one on this sid eof the city.

And just 1/2 hour ago in Macquarie, whilst I was gardening, SC Cockatoo shrieks alerted me to a Brown Goshawk flying over.
