During our monthly U3A birding
outing this morning a G-c G was seen on the 'back' pond at Kelly's
Swamp. Certainly the high-light of the day as was the presence of
water.
And on Sunday, when we were taking
a US visitor around to the once good spots we were astounded to see
that nearly all of our old favourite places are in very bad condition,
eg trees dying at Uriarra crossing, the Uriarra homestead dam almost
dry, very low water levels at Tidbinbilla, pond at Namadgi Info Centre
dry, and then Kelly's almost dry, too. Did somebody say 'There will
be a wet autumn'?
