Thanks for circulating that letter.  It is excellent to see COG assisting the Trust in this way. 

Should an opportunity arise to expand on the points made in the letter it might be helpful to be able to specity a few other areas of the lake that appear to be particularly important bird habitat.  The areas that occur to me (others may have different ideas) are:
  • Aspen Island - cormorant roost, especially Pied Cormorant.
  • Around the mouth of Sullivan's Creek ; Cormorant and Darter nesting site;
  • Acacia Inlet: favoured location of Great Crested Grebe and Little Bittern
