A cranky old spoonbill down at the swamp has got so disgusted with the cricket that he has stopped eating.  As the prospects are bleak for the continuing cricketing year, his 2 sons thought he might not survive it without a bit of force feeding.   Well, that’s the only way I can interpret the scene below.

For those interested in photography this snap was taken with a battered old Canon 500 FD manually focussing lens with a 2x extender and a digital adapter for a 40D body.  Used necessarily ‘wide open’ (f.8 and a bit), speed was manually set at 1/500 sec.  The image was only very slightly cropped.
