Greetings. Although no longer a subscriber to the CanberraBirds email list, Alastair Smith has generously offered to send a copy of the HANZAB index to list subscribers who would like a copy.
If you would like a copy, please contact him direct at m("homemail.com.au","alastair");"> rather than replying to this message or to the list.
It is important to observe the copyright restrictions that Alastair has detailed.
Regards - David

Subject: HANZAB index
Constantly frustrated with guessing which volume of HANZAB to pull off
the
bookcase in order to find the species I am interested in, I recently
contacted OUP and they kindly provided me with an electronic copy of the
index (in pdf format). Assuming that I am not the only person with this
frustration, I have permission from OUP to circulate the file to birders
with HANZAB. If you would like a copy please reply to me.
The file contains:
COMBINED INDEX TO SCIENTIFIC NAMES
COMBINED INDEX TO ENGLISH NAMES
Please note the caveat that OUP has placed on its distribution...That's
fine
to circulate the Index via pdf but it very much remains under OUP/Birds
Australia copyright so cannot be used without permission or
resold/repackaged in any format.
Regards
Alastair
