Over the last week or so, I've looked up at this nest in the suspended 'globe' 
outside the NGA but I'm yet to see a bird enter or leave, and I can't actually 
see if there is a bird sitting on the nest.  However, my guess from its size 
and construction is that it is an Australian Magpie.  It is certainly safe from 
predators but I would have thought a little exposed to the strong winds we've 
been experiencing.
