The 10CDs of calls take up close to a Gigabyte (Gb) not close to a Megabyte (Mb).  Still very good storage rate.

I'd been thinking about Mbs in another context and the fingers did not involve the brain in their actions.

When I made a similar enquiry to this list the universal recommendation was for the 10 CD set from the Bird Observers Club of Australia (BOCA).  This http://www.birdobservers.org.au/GiftShop.asp#onlinecatalogue is a link to their on-line catalogue.   If you want to load the CDs onto an MP3 player for reference in the field they take up a bit less than 1Mb.
