Hi all,

For a while I thought I was one of the unlucky ones in not seeing the drongo despite 5 visits to the 'seat' and surrounding areas. Then on Saturday evening after a frantic phone call from Karen and a very rapid trip from Kambah to Jerrabomberra wetlands, I briefly watched the drongo as it preened before disappearing into the greenery.

Karen also told me about a flycatcher she had been watching. When relocated it looked for all the world like a male Satin Flycatcher but I was reluctant to accept that ID due to the light conditions and location which seemed more appropriate for a Leaden FC. The following morning, when the whole Kelly's Swamp / Jerra wetlands area was awash with birdos, we again found the flycatcher and this time 5 other watchers agreed unanimously that it was indeed a male Satin Flycatcher.

Now, given Suzanne's observation (below) and Millburn's comment re a Rufous Fantail along Jerra Creek, perhaps there is a late spring movement of wetter forest species happening.
