Just a small note.  Assuming this is the same place as last year, the leasee of this area also currently looks after Newline (where I spoke to him during the week) and has a property on Kelly's Road Wllaimsdale.  A very pleasant guy - interested in and quite knowledgeable about, birds.  He seems to be a bird-magnet!

It is most important that his rights (also his fences and stock) are respected by folk observing the birds.

Friday 7th from 07.50...A ninety-minute walk along the horse-trail, creek-side and into the nearby plantings recorded 30 species including 2 Red-backed kingfishers and numerous Fairy martins.
The latter are constructing their mud-pellet nests.  Many starlings bearing food towards the 'sewerage building' or towards the suburb.
