Hi
Of interest to some would be that Minister Garrett commissioned an independent review of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) to which public submissions are now invited.
Details are on DEWHA's website at: http://www.environment.gov.au/epbc/review/
I would suggest that COG provide views on how to strengthen this legislation, by putting further emphasis on strategic assessments, effective monitoring and proactive investigations.
