Subject: Kelly's yesterday
Hi all
I did manage to squeeze in 15 minutes at Kelly Swamp
yesterday, too, and one of the spoonbills flew to shore in front of Cygnus,
selected some stick and took it back to the island where both of them took
their time to poke it into position (hidden by leaves).
On my way back to the car I saw a Baillon's Crake between
the reeds. I was standing just where the tall vegetation between path and water
stops shortly before you get back to the bittern hide.
There were also 5 Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos around,
feeding and getting chased by Red Wattlebirds.
Cheers, Susanne

but the extent of activity was an occasional leg lift. No hint of DI, CO
or NB. Perhaps early days?
