Hi All
I am in deep trouble.. I'm leaving Monday 13th early morning to go to Laurieton by bus and train to see my 87 year old Dad andf I WAS going to do some bird photography while I was there. The birdlife where he lives is astonishing... rainforest, mountain and ocean. Scarlet honeyeaters, regent bowerbirds, figbirds abound.

My beautiful Canon 400D (4 months old) has done a bunk and comes up with error 99 message.. and will no longer take any shots.

I frantically went  to Ted's where it was purchased , they tried everything they can think of to fix the problem with no luck. The camera will now need to go back to Canon on Tuessday to be fixed but this takes 3-6 weeks apparently!  I have it here at home with me in case we can find a quick solution.

I am devastated,,, Have been so looking forward to this holiday .. my photography is  my world at the moment.

Does anybody out there have any ideas about error 99? or have a regular old digital with a bit of zoom that I could rent, borrow for the two weeks starting this coming weekend?  I would look after it with my life.

As I don't have access to the chatline this email ddress could anyone responding please reply  to me at m("tpg.com.au","chastir");">.

Best regards
