Hi all,
Last Saturday a friend and I flushed a quail on the lower NW slope of Black Mt in the edge of the dry sclerophyll forest adjacent to the powerline.  It burst from nearly under our feet, flew about 30m further into the forest and dropped.  We couldn't get a good enough look at it to have any chance of identifying it except that it appeared land bum first.  Would that together with the location be sufficient to identify it and what is it likely to be?  Any clues would be appreciated.
Regards
Peter
